Two persons killed in road accidents in Kondhwa

Pune: In the last two days, two persons have been killed in road accidents in Kondhwa.

On Saturday morning, a 50-year-old woman was killed after she came under the wheels of a speeding dumper after it hit the two-wheeler she was riding pillion on. The incident took place at around 7.45 am in Shivnerinagar locality of Kondhwa near Sant Gadge Maharaj School.

The deceased has been identified as Nasreen Jafar Sayyed, a resident of Kondhwa. Her husband was riding the two-wheeler. After the dumper hit the two-wheeler, the woman came under the wheels of the dumper, while her husband fell down on the other side. An ambulance from 108 helpline was called and the doctor declared her dead.  

In an another incident, on Friday at around 8.30 am, Jyotidutt Ramrao Tibole (38) of Bibvewadi, was riding a motorcycle when an autorickshaw hit him near STPL godown on Pisoli-Undri road in Pisoli. Tibole sustained injuries on his abdomen and died. Police have arrested driver Mohan Kad (35) of Undri.
